What a pompous ass. I scanned his 10 "demands" and none are unreasonable, though he struts about and tries to sound as if he's imposing his own mighty, Draconian will upon a helpless and terrified population. I didn't see anything about derrered rush, and that would be the deal-killer. The rest of it is just good management.
It's sad that he feels he has to gin up such a melodramatic, totalitarian face. He's playing to the anti-Greek base in the press and faculty.
I wish the Greeks would calmly point out that Chi Tau is already an unrecognized club with no relationship formal or otherwise to any of the existing campus umbrella groups. As for Phi Tau, well, I wouldn't want the embarrassment of hosting a porn movie, but my guess is the university's reaction is based more on the fact that it's a fraternity than on the substance. If they have a film school, my guess is that a student film produced on campus with the same script would be hailed as an academic masterpiece, and any attempts to supress it would be dealt with as censorship.
