Oh.My.Gosh... I thought the exact same thing. It almost sounded like the vibrato was forced... hence sounding like Carmen. But we all know Carrie is FAR from Carmen in other ways in regard to singing ability. Thank God.
I'll recap later cuz I'm tired, but while on the subject of Carrie, anyone else think she looked like one of those dancing Santas that they sell during the holidays that just sorta rock back and forth in a robotic fashion?
I mean Carrie has a good voice for country and all and I could totally see her having a great radio career... but she's just kinda boring when it comes to stage presence. She's a pretty face... and voice... but eh.
Oh... watching this show with a group of people is fun. One friend is a music major. According to her, the word "pitchy," the word that so frequents Randy's reviews, actually means nothing. You are either on pitch, sharp or flat. Telling a singer that he/she is pitchy REALLY doesn't help any in terms of review. But who said Randy was helpful anyway.
