Big parties, especially "open" ones, seem to carry a lot of potential for risk management problems. Yet it's apparent that at some schools there's almost an expectation that fraternities will essentially provide opportunities for pretty much anybody to enter and drink/socialize several nights a week. Convincing belligerent or out-of-control students or "friends" or randoms to leave too often results in fights, police calls, or worse (serious injuries, occasional gunplay, etc.).
