I didn't think it was *that* bad. It seemed like she may have been looking to emulate Jennifer Hawkin's dress from when she won Miss Universe 2004. See:

I think Miss Michigan USA needs to win a prize for one of the worst gowns EVER. It just was not flattering at all.
