As an aside (and I don't agree with this at all), Tony Masserotti of the Boston Herald had a whole column devoted to why he thinks Jeter is the best player in baseball. I thought that was pretty funny.
You're right - A-Rod has shown himself unable to handle the spotlight in NY, and he sure as hell hasn't shown himself able to handle the rivalry. I have been cringing through most of his public comments. With the recent errors, it may not be too long before he's the next one booed in NY (Jeter last year, Mo Rivera this year).
