My hometown b*tch! I loooooove me some Roger Creager. How about a little Roger Creager medley?
Everclear anyone?
Everyday in lunch in high school and all my senior year,
I'd drink my Coca-Cola with a touch of Everclear.
I didn't have to study math, science or history,
I'd have a chemical flashback to jog my memory.
My junior year I swore I loved sweet miss Sherry Ann
One night I put some Everclear in her Dr. Pepper can.
I thought it would make her easy,
But she took it pretty hard
I took her home and rang her doorbell,
Left her laying in the yard.
Tequila dries me out,
And beer just makes me fat,
Whiskey makes me nauseous,
Tell me who the hell needs that.
If you're thinkin' about drinkin,
The answer's crystal clear,
It's the invisible intoxicant,
It's called Everclear.
Or how about some Love?
Love aint what this songs about
Candle light aint what im in the mood for now
I dont need a metaphor to help me get this out
Love aint what this songs about
Its about beer and whiskey and drinkin'
Its about playin the fool and acting without thinking
Its about runnin' with your buddies who dont give a damn
What in the world happens to you man
No, love aint what this songs about
What about Movin' On?
But don't you worry about me, I'm feelin' sorry for you
And when I sleep tonight, at least I'll know my love is true
'Cause baby I'm better than you
I'm moving on, to a place where love is strong
I'moving on. Does this sound like a sad country song?
I dusted myself off, I'm back in the saddle again
Yeah I lost in love with you but now I'm ready to win
I'm movin' on
Who is Having Fun All Wrong?
And there ain’t enough dance halls in Texas
to keep my heart and mind occupied.
I’m trying it all the time.
Yeah, I’m out there every night.
And my truck has seen some miles
to find the words to write this song;
to get me back on top where I belong,
but I’m not over you yet, I must be
having fun all wrong.
Hey well I’ve seen Jerry Jeff
umpteen times this year.
He just keeps getting better every day.
Oh I followed Robert Earl Keen
from Dallas to the Sparkling City by the Sea,
jumped up on the sea wall and sang
Corpus Christi Bay.
And of course Rancho Grande Interestingly enough, I was introduced to this song by a white boy that doesn't know any Spanish, but he sang the hell out of this song! We all know that Andy is an honorary Latino, so it couldn't possibly have been him.
Allá en el rancho grande
Allá donde vivía
Había una rancherita
Que alegre me decía.
Que alegre me decía.
Te voy hacer tus calzones
Como los que usa el ranchero.
Te los comienzo de lana
Y los acabo de cuero
Su mama le dice a Julia
Su mama le dice a Julia
Que te ha dicho ese señor ay ay ay ay ay
Mama no me dijo nada
Mama no me dijo nada
Solo me hablo de amor. Ay ay ay ay.
