Our population is over 2 million (close to 5 million if you include the surrounding suburbs)
Half the population are immigrants and just about as many are visible minorities.
However, many minorities are also not living in poverty. Many issues that are considered "ethnic"/"race" issues are in fact "class" issues. These include access to health care (okay, so Canadian healthcare is socialized, but this doesn't include dental and meds among other things), education, having a safe place to live, etc...
