My husband and I had been dating for about ten months when we got engaged. I kind of knew him before we started dating, but I knew him more as a friend-of-a-friend (actually, a friend of one of my sorority sisters). We never hung out, just the two of us, as friends, until we started dating.
We kind of just
knew. We had so many of the same interests, hobbies, dreams for our futures, beliefs (religious, moral, philosophical, etc). He calls me a female version of himself.
Of course, once we got engaged, it took us over two years to actually get married... that pesky grad school thing
So, yes, I definitely believe it's possible to know that a particular person is the right person even if you've only known them a few months.
