Hell, Middle part of country is Ks., Mo, Iowa, Oaklahoma, Ark., N. S. Dakota, Minn., Neb., Western Ill. and E. Colo.
Well, my perception anyway.
Anything West of Denver, South, to Mexico and The Pacific is West.
Actually, Mid Mo. is the dividing line so many ways, East, West-North, South. You have to know History to understand that.
