There was an article I read on Yahoo news a number of weeks back that stated the experience that the top 24 all had prior to being on AI. Of course, I can't find the article anymore. -sigh- But it listed the fact that at least one person had cut a demo album and had some play of it on the radio, but that that person wasn't under contract anymore.
