Hi everyone!
Well, as some of you have already noticed there have been some changes. We were hoping to get more details last night from them so I was holding off on posting, but we should know more on Monday.
To make a VERY long story short, my husband talked to them yesterday and they are now limiting voting to 1 per IP address (some of you may understand IP addresses better than I do). Sounds like that was the original plan but no one on their end noticed there were some problems with the website. I don't know if IP addresses are related to "cookies" so if anyone would like to teach us about "cookies" and "IP addresses" I apparently could use a little computer lesson. Might as well learn a little something through all of this
Anyhow.... they are supposed to be recalculating the score in the next few days last we heard. From what we understand this means all votes that came from one IP address will be eliminated. I think most computers have 1 IP address depending on how you connect to the internet. I know where my husband works all of their computers (thousands of them) have 1 IP address so no one else in his company can vote from work (which really stinks). But If you reconnect to the internet on other computers (like at home through dial-up/high speed) sometimes you get a different IP address so I'm not sure what this all means.
Hopefully we'll get more info on Monday and at least know when they're going to recalculate the scores! Thanks again everyone!
Have a great weekend!
