The child could be bi polar, ADD, ADHD, etc and the outburst a result of THAT. And really, IMO teachers should have a bit of training on how to deal with that. My nephew is bi-polar, has outbursts from time to time and the teacher, tho well aware of his condition, routinely disciplines him/throws him out of class. Yes, kids need to be disciplined, but disciplining someone in the middle of a rage they cannot control does not work. Maybe he's just had particularly insensitive teachers, but no one in my family has been impressed with how he's been handled in school.
