I see your point, but you don't know how out of control the child might have been. If a 5 year old is throwing things at people, you have to physically restrain the child. Obviously the teacher felt she/he could not do this. So she called the right people.

Listen, there is something else going on here. The mom is a wacko. I bet they knew not to restrain the child, due to something exhibited by the mother earlier on in the year, etc.

Cutie, I am sure you survived your trauma with the principal, and I am sure this child will survive this whole ordeal as well.

At least she knows what happens if she goes crazy, and hopefully she won't do it again.
