First of all, if the look is contrived, it will not work.

Let your style be a reflection of you. What is comfortable? What is appropriate for your lifestyle. For instance, I teach music lessons part time and have to go straight from campus. So the clothes I wear to school and stuff have to be appropriate for that as well. Of course, special outfits for clubbing are needed, but you shouldn't go overboard.

Be classic. It is a waste to purchase anything that will go out of style soon. Think clean lines, classic cuts and colors that you have seen for years. They are good bets.

On a guy, I prefer classic and timeless.

No. 1 fashion rule: Good grooming. Get frequent haircuts, always (unless working out) be freshly showered, cut your fingernails and toenails evenly, shave daily, brush and floss so your breath is impeccably fresh, use chapstick so your lips are soft, wear MODERATE cologne. Most guys overdo the cologne. If you can smell it really well, you are probably wearing way too much. One or two sprays should do you. My recommendation is Curve for men...it drives us girls crazy. In addition to this, may I add that if you smoke, stop. It makes your breath stink, not to mention your car and clothing...yuck...plus it is just not healthy.

If i think of anything else I will post again. I like this thread.

Oh yeah...I would never look at a guy and say "damn". You don't want girls to say that. You want a polite girl who will be confident and walk up and actually tell you that you look nice, and then you can talk to her!!!!!!!!!!
