Unfortunately though, if the quote Munchkin pointed out is any indication, mom doesn't think her daughter did anything wrong.
I'd have to say this behavior was more than a mere temper tantrum. My kids have had temper tantrums and they mostly consist of throwing themselves on the floor and screaming. Not assault. It sounds like this poor child has problems, and her mother's enabling behavior is not going to help her down the road
