Wait, you are correct, I was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama . . . I went to college in Florence, Alabama . . . after graduation I moved to Birmingham, Alabama . . . then 5 years later I moved back to Huntsville, Alabama.
I have visited. . . New York City - the people were extremely nice to me and didn't take advantage of me and laughed with me about my accent (which they said they loved) and I had a great time.
I have visited . . . Indianapolis . . . beautiful city - people were very nice and pleasant and helpful
I have visited . . . San Fransisco (?sp) people were very nice that I dealt with and the city was beautiful . . . at the same time I visited all of the area around there except Oakland and I had a great time.
Lemme see Texas-Oaklahoma-Boston-New Jersey I have visited lots of American States and so far I have enjoyed my self and they were nice places in their own rights BUT I WOULDNT WANT TO LIVE THERE.
That is how God made us all different with different interests, wants and desires. I understand why a person would want to move away to get a specific career path started, however, I have found no personal reason to move out of the south.
Anywhere above the Mason/Dixon line is not for me. Actually I consider some of Tennessee to "northern" for me. But, ALL of America is beautiful from the desserts to the mountains from the flatlands to the swamps . . . . (wow I may brake into song)
I guess my point is I do not think that a "yankee" is an ignorant - mean - s.o.b - just because he/she is from a blue state that is rediculous. "people are people" whether yankee or redneck.
