My father is a "damn yankee." And for all of you yankees who don't know what that means.

Yankee - A northerner who visits the south.
Damn yankee - A northerner who visits the south and stays.

I do not think that all "yankees" think the same way that this "gentleman" thinks (well I hope they don't), but, I do think that liberals think that way - f-bombs and all. My father is a republican and a local politician and he would definately disagree with this writter.

As a true "bible beating, Jesus Freak, Card Carrying Republican with a gun permit and a gun in my glove compartment," I believe there is no better place to live in the world then the South.

I think that liberals are so very mad at George Bush and his conservative politics and are more mad the there are more of us then there are of them. (please find a pic of the red and blue counties [from the 04 election]http://www.kieranhealy.org/blog/archives/000943.html it is much more impressive then the red and blue states - there are alot of red northern counties)

This "gentleman" said so much with out saying anything of importance and it showed me more of his ignorance then his intellegance.

Yes, I have seen the statistics of welfare recipients and the red and blue states however please look at the statistics of welfare voter registration. I mean I am not on welfare and do not receive any "yankee" assistance - and I VOTE.

Last but not least . . . Liberals are the ones who keep raising welfare and are wanting to keep people on the government payroll so they should be happy that their money is going to some non working red-stater and not into their own pockets. If it were up to me we would drop the "have more children get more government money" thing that liberals love so much and I could keep more of MY MONEY.

Sorry for the rant but I am a proud southern woman with a great private school education and a university degree and I love all of my yankee sisters - liberal or conservative - and I just wanted to give a small rebuttle to that very disgruntled liberal.
