I remember as a kid we'd go on field trips to Iolani Palace -- former home of King David Kalakaua and Queen Lydia Lil`uokalani until the overthrow. I remember being in awe at the grandeur of the place. It was so big and beautiful.

I still get the same feeling after all these years.
