Well, here at Beta, we are pledges, we have a pledge education program, we are referred to as "the pledges" etc., etc.
I really don't see what the big deal is about using these terms
I dont feel degraded b/c I'm a pledge as opposed to a new member or associate, but I guess it could depend on the house/chapter as to how those words are connotated.
