Alcohol awareness programs = lame. Everyone's seen so many that they really don't make a dent.

Community service = very degrading to the people you'll be "servicing" to have to put up with a bunch of women who don't want to be there. I do not agree with community service (the kind where you interact with others not involved in your transgression that is) as a punishment under any circumstances.

Recruitment stuff = if the student body doesn't disapprove of what they did, it won't hurt them a bit.

Try volunteering to clean the dorms for a week - and the salaries that would have been paid to the cleaning people come out of your treasury. Let's get real, $$ and degredation are the ways to hit people where they live. This is the only punishment I can see being a real deterrent to other groups doing this - which is what the school really wants.
