As much as I think NYC's chances are diminishing, they would be my first choice as a location due to the fact that three other contestant cities have all hosted previous games (London in 1908 and 1948; Paris in 1900 and 1924; Moscow in 1980).

I'm not sure about the facilities or the plan in Madrid, but NYC has some work to do - work good for the city.

It would be interesting to see the Olympics in Moscow after the fall of the Soviet Union, though.
