Looks like the University of Colorado may try to buy him out and avoid all of the Tenure and Academic Freedom issues.
It appears that this guy may be a liar, a plagerist and an all around jerk -- but the potential damage to the process of academic freedom is real in my opinion.
The Bolder Campus has enough other problems right now. Maybe a buyout would be best. Let him go teach at some radical little private liberal arts college (no, all liberal arts colleges aren't radical, please don't go there) where he will never be heard of again. Somebody would love to have him, I'm sure.
