I would like to actually see the studies that prove the correlation between these so called 'homophobic' guys and the number of them that are actually 'gay'.
The author throws out words like 'many' and '75%' of (self-labelled men to be sure) get aroused when looking a gay porn, and a 'vast majority' have something to hide.
The author claims that 'I'd hate to join the ranks of some of the other columnists who use offensive generalizations as a crutch for their writing'. However, he clearly has joined those ranks by using generalizations as a crutch to his writing. His word usage alone shows that.
No doubt there are gays that are ashamed and hide it by being blatently anti-gay, but by saying that many of those that are homophobic is gay is definitly a fallacy.
I have never seen any scientific studies that remotly prove that in a fashion that I would believe.
