That's sad if true. Alums should be the chapter's first defense against that type of behavior. We should be the guys that can as a result of us having seen a lot of kids go through the chapter see the "big picture". It's inexcusable that an alum would do this. I'd really like for our respective HQ's to take a more active role in alum rerecruitment and training. A lot of the older guys just don't see the harm in hazing -- maybe they even look back on it as a great experience. Many don't understand what can happen to a chapter if caught -- even if no one is hurt.
I would theorize that these types of behaviors are more prevalant in older chapters than newer ones -- those of you that belong to organizations that expand like crazy (PKA, TKE) what is your organization's experience with newer chapters and hazing?
