HC there is a non-black woman on the back cover of Essence Magazine (March issue)?
HC it seems like every month there are more and more models that are non-Black in Essence magazine?
HC if you don't believe you, look through the ads?
HC the March 2005 issue featuring a Lauren (polo) ad, a Carson Pirie Scott ad, an Estee Lauder ad all in the first 20 pages?
HC I *thought* it was created as a magazine to show examples of Black beauty and to give Black models a chance when they had no chance?
HC although it is 2005, I *still* think that it's imperative for our young women to see examples of Black beauty?
HC if I wanted to see everyone else, I could purchase any copy of Elle, Mademoiselle or even O (the Oprah magazine)?

HC what is my magazine coming to?

HC I sent an email to the Editor about this about a year ago when they first changed editors Monique Green (which is when I first started noticing it) and I received no answer?

HC if we demanded that Gap gave us an ad with a Black model (for the back cover) they would have done it (or got no ad in Essence) AND A BLACK MODEL WOULD HAVE WORKED ANOTHER DAY?

HC is it just me?
