Yes, it works on bare floors. We used it on our linoleum tonight, too. It automatically adjusted from carpet to floor. The online site shows the pics and goes into detail on the differences between models.
I saw one model at Sam's Club tonight. But, we got ours at Home Depot. The only had the Animal and regular DC-07. The Sam's Club had the all-purpose dc-14.
Linens-and-things also had the 07s. They were the same price as Home Depot. Everywhere we looked had them for the same price. We tried to shop for the lowest cost, but like I said, they were priced the same everywhere.
The animal 07 was more expensive. It is supposed to be better at getting the hair up out of the carpets.
(P.S. Thanks for the advice on Buddy's eye a while back. Buddy's our pug. He's doing just fine now. And, doesn't even realize he's lost an eye until he bumps into something
