Dang, me too. And I had a big gap, so that made it even worse.
The good news is that I only had to wear my braces for a little over the year (waited until I was an adult,) because it was the overbite that caused the gap and other spaces between my teeth. Once my teeth were pushed back the spaces all closed. But I do wear permanent retainers.
