Make sure you check the database on Surfing Sisters of eBay IDs before you bid on badges. We try to let eachother know who we are so we don't bid against each other & pump the price up...on other items, just bid your little hear out!
(My eBay ID is the same as for GC...I don't bother trying to rescue badges anymore, b/c I hate creating a demand for them...).
