eeek. That's a nasty thing to say. What, like he's a better person because he wants to get married?

And Coramoor, these women aren't bitter-- it's just a very strong reality that women are pressured into societal roles that *still* hold a second-rate status. It's sad that when women break from the norm that we look down upon them for some reason. Men don't get that pressure as much. Unless you've got a serious fortune or a crown, it's more acceptable to not be married and never have children. Expressing frustration with this societal catch 22 isn't bitterness.
