I don't know if they had a "thing" (but I think I did hear that), but Foxy was originally signed to Def Jam. However, around the time when Foxy was with that Marley brother (I forget his name), had the miscarriage, suicide attempt, breakdown, etc., she was dropped. I think there was a link here with her radio interview when she was talking about it. Jay just re-signed her to the label.
