What else would you do, quit your job and then look? Just be smart about it.
Don't look at ads or do your resume or cover letter at work.
If you get an interview and take time off of work for it, don't show up that day in your suit (unless you have to wear a suit every day in your current office anyway). It'll definitely raise eyebrows.
Don't let the potential employer contact your current employer.
If things are looking promising with a new job, don't tell anyone in your office that you're most likely leaving, just in case things don't work out.
