I was always a good student, but I went to a HS whose guidance dept left a LOT to be desired and my counselors really help me get my paperwork together. We were always taking trips too!

I concur with you 1SD... I participated in Upward Bound and the program was certainly useful in assisting students going to college, particularly in rural/small school systems b/c the guidance counselors left a lot to be desired for many gifted black students. Its a shame that this program is gonna be cut....thanks again "Dubya"
