From what I understand from my college. If a local is not insured, the legal responsibility for all sorority actions are placed directly on the President and Vice President. Meaning, if someone gets punched, because there is no reason to sue the sorority for compensation, the Pres or VP can be held responsible in court. That is what we were explained by HQ when we were dealing with a local on our campus trying to go NPC.
