Actually, Toni said she had a virus during her Aida stint. The virus called car-something another caused the heart disease.
Sounds like she had myocarditis that developed into a cardiomyopathy... That puts her having congestive heart failure. And the fact that she is a touring singer with a lot of stress exacerbates her condition. So in essence she has heart disease...

The "Go Red" campaign is to enlighten women that heart disease affects women as much as men, but the symptoms on an oncoming heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular disease may be different. Instense research from the AHA with $$$$ attached to it is actively being done and sought out...

Also, most of the drugs, like the statins my have differential effects on women than men... The estrogen factor may be playing a role...

What does this say about "Big Pharma"?
