If it's campus owned housing, it's not unusual for Housing to have their maintenance workers equipped with cameras. Shortly after Halloween, I received a couple of pictures from our housing office where a maintenance worker photographed some items in (our one on-campus) fraternity house that could outwardly look incriminating. (a chair with restraints, a paddle, etc.). However they had actually been used as props in their chapter "House of Horrors" (haunted house) two nights earlier. Fortunately, I had been there and recognized the stuff from that, but the Housing office jumped to a lot of conclusions. But the main thing is, beware, it is not uncommon for Housing staff to take pictures that can be incriminating without you knowing it!
