Well Dr. James summed up pretty much everything I was gonna say. Nevertheless, here's a few more tips that you may find beneficial.

Drink one or two cups a coffee a day. Scientific research continues to prove the positives that caffeine does for your body. When it comes to losing weight, most of the standarad ephedrine-caffeine-aspirirn weight loss pills (that James mentioned) are loaded with it because caffeine speeds up your metabolism and breaks down fat cells. If you really want to go for the healthy choice, select Green Tea instead.

Meal Replacements are excellent sources to cut calories. Whether it be Whey Protein or a homemade shake.
One question: these low-carb diets, why is it alright to eat lots of cheese? It's loaded with fat.
