I sleep better with locked doors. It doesnt take any effort at all to turn the little lock. Unfortunately, my stepdad was raised in a family that didnt even HAVE locks on their doors so he NEVER does, and since my mom basically changed her habits to match his when they got married, I have to live with it when I stay there.
I should mention that he doesnt lock his car either, even after his car was stolen 10 years ago. They even leave the keys on the seat. Yeah, its a nice neighborhood, but its only 10 mins outside of Philly, so its not rural and THAT safe.
