Well my HS's mascot is nothing interesting. We're the Raiders. And as Wine&Blue has already stated the University of Alabama is the Crimson Tide. The name came about in a game a long time ago between UA and our arch nemesis Auburn University. It was all rainy and stuff on game day and very muddy. We won and the announcer said we were like a crimson tide rolling over Auburn's Tigers/Eagles. Also, University of Tennessee's mascot is the........VOLUNTEERS!! How scary!!!
And it always ends up being shortened to the "Vols." Honestly, I have no idea what exactly the Volunteers are supposed to represent
