Hey now, that's my mascot too
We're the Rose-Hulman Fighting Engineers. Our mascot is Rosy, an elephant. My high school is the Fighting Cardinals, scary! They painted a cardinal in a school sweater(like they wore in the 50's) in a fighting stance baring his teeth. A guy on the school board thought that was dumb, since cardinals don't have teeth, so they painted over the teeth, and now his mouth is closed.
