this is my issue- i've always been very skinny because i've always been a runner/athlete. well, 3 surgerys later i'm not allowed to run very much. in fact, i'm not really allowed to work out much either. so i've put on weight and i'm not happy about it. nothing really fits me anymore. problem is i've looked at some sucess stories, and i'm at the weight they ended at.

am i going to be scoffed at if i attend meetings?
I have a co-worker who was only about 15 pounds overweight (and didn't really look it) and she joined our Weight Watchers at Work program. When she asked why she was joining Weight Watchers (by people who didn't think she really needed to lose weight), she said that she realized she is gaining 5 pounds a year and if she keeps that up, she'll end up quite heavy. She learned a lot about portion control and she's done really well. Most of us in the room at the time wished we'd gotten things under control when it was only 15 pounds!
