I find this all intriguing... but on a side note:
When a person signs up for GC, doesn't he/she have to confirm her account? Via email? I remember when I first signed up, my SN was listed on the new member list even though I hadn't received an email from admin saying I could "officially" post yet.
So maybe this frightened newbie to GC never confirmed that one account, but the database saw a new screen name in it.
Or something...
Does that even happen? Maybe I'm just talking out of my behind but it's the only reason I can think of for someone's name disappearing.
