I was going to answer this but as a serious SF I feel I need to be discrete in my interest.

If you could choose your own linesisters would you? What would be your criteria?
Well practically nobody knows me on campus and I only know one other interest that I met at an event. She and I have become friendly aquaintances and I would choose her to be my linesister. She is doing big things academically and is in a leadership position in another org at school plus she is a really kind and sweet person. She is aware that as interests we are competing against one another for a spot but still is really nice to everyone.

I guess the criteria would be: how they present themselves (how they come to events etc.); how they speak or if they speak at all at events; I dont know many people but if I did I would look at what orgs they are in and what their goals are after college; being friendly but not talking to all the other interests mostly members and then leaving a few minutes after the event is over. I have observed a few other ladies at events that just based on how they act at events I would choose also but I have never conversed with them or seen them arround campus so I really don;t know how they really are. I keep to myself so I guess I like other people that are naturally discrete.

If you knew FOR CERTAIN that you would NEVER have the opportunity to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, would you go ahead and seek membership elsewhere?
No. Well not in another sorority. I would probably become a Kiwani's Club member or Lion's Club member. They both are very active in Jamaica where I'm from.

What role, if any, have greek stereotypes played in your interest/selection of a sorority?
I have noticed that the stereotypes do not really mean anything. Plus I have heard all sorts of things. My initial interest in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated came before I knew what the stereotypes were.

If you knew FOR CERTAIN that in order to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha you would HAVE TO spend an extra year in undergrad would you submit an application and stay in school that extra year or continue your studies/graduate on time and hope to be invited to a graduate chapter? Why or Why not?
I would graduate on time. I have planned my life almost to a T and there are things I need to get done by certain deadlines I have set for myself. I think that if I am to become a memeber I will get an invitation on the graduate level and if not then I won't. As it's said AKA is not for everyone...which may include me

If your mother, for whatever reasons, forbade you to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha would you do it anyway (assume that her opinion CANNOT be changed)? Why or Why not?
I think I would still try to become a member. My mother has lived and made decisions for herself. I need to do the same and she would just have to accept that. My mother would never forbid me to do anything
