Re the letters, this has been discussed many times on GC. Many groups have an open meaning that corresponds to their letters - for example, ASA's is Aspire Seek Attain - so saying "they don't know the meaning behind them" isn't the case. However, if you have a meaning behind your letters that I would never gather without initiating into your group, I personally would not tell you what to do about that. I'm just pointing out that for some groups the wearing letters isn't an issue as ANYONE can see our open meaning.
I don't like to hear people say "I wanted to be hazed." What you mean is that you wanted to do fun pledge activities, like RedRoseSAI said. I doubt anyone wants to be forced to drink, beaten physically, or told that they are a worthless piece of crap. That's what hazing really is. If you mean "I wanted to do scavenger hunts and interview sisters" then say so.
Not being specific only furthers the (untrue IMO) view that these things are hazing.
