Rap Superstar Trina (news - websites) has set up an emergency website that calls out to all fans to help keep her home. It was reported earlier this week that the Miami native's $157,000 home was being foreclosed due to a series of missed payments. "I would like to reach out to all my ladies, especially my fans, and ask them to help a sister out." said the rapper. "We all know how it is to be down on your luck, and the state of music sales aren't the same today in part because of illegal downloading and pirating. I promise to give all donors access to a special concert this summer in their honor."
Since the launch of the site at approximately 12am EST, the "Baddest B----", as she calls herself, has raked in over $12,000 of the funds needed. Although she did not disclose her contribution goal, Miami real estate experts estimate the amount is in excess of $100,000. "She'd be a fool to let this house go. It's worth over $300,000 now, and is expected to grow in equity by an additional 25% by the beginning of 2007." remarks Lin Chi, a popular Miami realtor to the stars. "At any rate, she must try to claim her house before the state's "right of redemption" laws take affect.
