I don't know, but either way that assumption creeps me out.
I don't think the author of the article says anywhere that women who get married are less smart (although one of the people quoted does guess that might be a reason why). It does actually back up the claim that women with low IQs are more likely to get married.
Now it would be interesting to know if women with higher IQs aren't getting married as often because a) they don't want to or b) they CAN'T. I think this is a really interesting conclusion that deserves more study.
