LOL word.
If you're gonna hate, at least have the balls to do it with your real name.
As I've said before, the parallels that can be drawn between the H&A and a sorority are pretty clear. You think we're mean, snobby, cliquey & elitist. We adore each other and are there for each other when we need it. Sound familiar? For a long time I had the "H&A: from the outside looking in you can never understand it, from the inside looking out you can never explain it" stuff in my signature because I thought it was funny that people were writing off cliques on a Greek website. You can say that we're nothing like a sorority but you don't see what we see. And I'm okay with that.
Okay, so it's been established that some people think we are mean. Here are some other things that have been established:
1) We don't really care.
2) Attacking us is more likely to put us on the defensive and bring out our more vicious sides, which, yes, I can admit most of us have.
3) The H&A is not a collective entity. I don't agree with everything that, say, Kath ever does on GC, and I am not responsible for her if she does something I don't agree with.
4) There is pretty much nothing that you can say/do that will bring out the our more contrite sides unless we admit that we've done something wrong (which HAS happened, and apologies HAVE followed). So you can either let the subject drop, or you can keep accusing us of being mean and make the atmosphere nastier all around (a la this summer). Since I think things have been pretty laid-back lately, I would pick the first, but hey, that's your choice.
Now let's put this part of the thread to rest 'cause I wanna talk about Bobby's mom some more.
