My hometown corner in southeastern Alabama (near Dothan) has a couple of names...
The Wiregrass Area (not really sure why it's called that)
The Tri-States Area (so close to where Alabama/Florida/Georgia borders together)
Others that I've heard from particular ppl:
"LA"= Lower Alabama
"UCLA"= Ugliest Corner of Lower Alabama (LOL)
