The easiest way that I know of (this is from my InDesign knowledge, so it's close):

To put page numbers, headers, etc... edit your Master Pages. At the bottom of the window should be all your pages. There should be something labeled "L" and "R" if you are using spreads. Double click those and you should get one or two blank pages.

To place page numbers, draw a text box in the desired location. There should be something in one of the menus (I think the type menu) that says "Insert Page number." It will either place a little "A" or # or something. If you want headers, just type what your want where you want (top margin or so).

When you double click on one of your regular pages, your header and the appropriate page number should be on every page.
