Prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force, I could barely fix a macaroni and cheese dinner, much less burn water. Eight weeks of technical training and the Air Force turned me into a halfway decent cook - ahem... aerospace food service technician (Death From Within!)

- Once I got out and tried cooking for a living in civilian life I got tired of it mighty quick. You really have to love cooking to do it for hundreds of people, and be consistent the whole way through.
I'll cook only for myself, for family and close friends, and occasionally prepare a covered dish for dinner at my local Masonic lodge, but that's about it for me.
