I agree on GMs not willing to deal with Beane - I buy into the philosophy that numbers can tell you a lot, but while he got some good numbers guys, I can't believe there weren't better deals out there. I'm wondering what they'll get for Zito if the Baltimore deal goes through. It could be what you're saying though, about GMs being unwilling to deal with Billy from now on. If I were Ken Williams I would have punched him in the stomach after reading Moneyball.

If I were a Dodger fan, I'd be hoping they do something else if they make the Green/Johnson/Vasquez deal, what with the loss of Beltre. That's not to mean that you should do offseason dealings based on what your fans want, but it will be an interesting situation.
